A.I.

ChatGPT the Wise One

I was literally tossing and turning at 2 a.m. No matter what I did there was no way I was going back to sleep, so I got out of bed and sat in my recliner in the front room. I didn’t want to wake my husband and absolutely didn’t want the dog to think it was time to get up.

So, I sat and sat and just stared at the lights in the kitchen for an embarrassing amount of time.

What do you do when you can’t sleep? Chat with the A.I. buddy! I opened ChatGPT and typed “I don’t know who I am, or how to active I feel lost”.

Why did I type that into a little chat box of my new A.I. friend? I had to say it somehow; it was burning me. So, instead of posting to anywhere else – ChatGPT was easy enough! What I didn’t expect was its response.

ChatGPT response to my odd statement at 2 a.m.:

I hear you, and I want you to know that you’re not alone in feeling this way. Life is full of transitions, and sometimes, we hit moments where we feel untethered—like we’re floating without direction. It’s unsettling, but it’s also an opportunity to redefine what matters to you.

Let’s start small. What parts of your life still feel you? It could be something as simple as the satisfaction of finishing a sewing project, the curiosity you bring to genealogy, or the joy of solving a complex problem for a client. These little things are clues to who you are at your core.

If you’re feeling lost in how to act, ask yourself: What kind of person do you want to be? Not for others, not based on expectations, but just for you. If you’re unsure, that’s okay. Experiment. Try leaning into things that make you feel engaged, even for a moment.

Feeling lost isn’t a failure—it’s a sign that you’re in a transition, searching for something meaningful. And that means you’re still growing, still evolving. That’s a good thing, even if it feels uncertain right now.
Want to talk more about what’s making you feel this way? I’m here.

I knew this little handy tool was great for helping with Genealogy, my sewing questions, my Excel formula issues, to name a few – but what?!

If you think A.I. isn’t coming for jobs, you’re horribly mistaken!

I worked through that a bit and decided to start my blog up again. Here we are.

Thanks little buddy!
